All students should continually check your home school and PLCC guidance office for college visit and scholarship information.

Yearbooks are on sale now! Only $10.00 until January 1 and then the price increases to $15.00 each. Deadline to order is March 1, 2018.

The PLCC blood drive will be December 15 from 8 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Christmas break will be December 21 through January 2.  There will be no high school classes.



Attention Seniors: The Yearbook Staff would like to include your baby photos in the yearbook. There are a limited number of spots available, so the first students to drop off their photos in the senior baby photo box in the main office will have the best chance to be pictured. Please make sure your name is on the back of the photo, so we can identify you and return your photo.

Group Photo Day is today, Wed, Nov. 29th.  Check the GHS announcements for your group’s time.

Boys and Girls Interested in Tennis?

GHS Open Tennis Drills at the Green Tennis Club from 8:00-9:30 pm / $12.00 per session

Check out your school’s newspaper, the Paw Print, online at! The website contains student written content covering GHS news, features, sports and opinions.


There will be Bible Study every Friday until 3:00 pm in Mr. Johnston’s room 213.  

Juniors – Now that the coupon books have been passed out, the due date for them to be turned in will be mid-December. .  Remember, for every 5 you sell you get 1 for free!!!  Checks need to be made out to MANCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL. See Mr. Grenus with any questions.

Any student interested in taking College Credit Plus courses next year must attend the annual CCP meeting on Monday, December 4th at 6:00 p.m.

If you want to join BBQ Club, but didn’t have a chance earlier in the Fall, it’s not too late!  Anyone can join, at any time!  The dues fee is $5.00.

Congratulations to the CREW of 2018 Spring Musical, and thank you to all individuals who applied to be a part of it!  The CREW list is posted at MHS.  If you do not see your name on the list, but you applied, please see Mr. Elder right away.

Please refer to the 2018 Spring Musical Calendar for practice dates.  Most CREW members first practice will be Saturday, January 13.  CREATIVE CREW, remember you have a different schedule! 

The weight room is open after school. All football players should turn in their equipment asap.


Attention all Springfield High School Students: Please go to and click on Shop by School to order your yearbook for the 2017-2018 school year.

It is time to sign up for musical auditions! The Spring musical will be The Little Shop of Horrors – Auditions will be held on November 28th, 29th, and 30th.

Anyone interested in the Bubble Night at Springfield high School: Tickets will be $6 to play. You MUST have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian BEFORE you purchase a ticket.  Mr. Murphy or Doc Burgess will have waivers in their rooms for you to pick up and get signed. Attention all Baseball Players. See Coach Kinsey this week to receive an off-season schedule for lifts and 4-man workouts. These workouts begin on Sunday so be sure to get your schedule.

Springfield Cares, NHS, and Student Council will host their Annual Food Drive at SHS beginning this week through November 8.

There will be a SHS early release day on Monday, December 4.
