This program is designed to assist people interested in a variety of careers in advanced manufacturing and industrial maintenance. Students will learn the fundamentals of numerous different trades and will become versatile and valuable employees with skills in many areas and experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Students will maintain a focus on safety while learning about maintenance principles and tools, schematics and print reading, mechanical rigging and installation, and power transmission principles. This course also covers hydraulic and pneumatic systems and extensive electrical components including testing and measurement, circuit materials, and transformers. Motor controls, industrial wiring, power supplies, and PLCs will also be a large focus of the course in addition to basic maintenance welding and cutting procedures.
