The Packaging & Production Associate reports to the MTG Supervisor

Position Overview
The principal accountability of the position is to manage daily activities for the proper labeling of products produced in the MTG plant. This position will also support production activities within MTG. This includes printing and verifying production labels, verifying and applying product labels to packaging, setting equipment up for production, monitoring the filling process of the finished product, and final packaging for distribution, and any cleaning. This position will also support any other production activities as required by the MTG Supervisor or the Plant Manager.

Position Responsibilities
• Understanding products and their labels
• Printing labels from the MTG production management system
• Working with QA to verify proper labeling
• Understanding the requirements for sanitary filling of product into various containers
• Monitoring production processes from set-up of equipment to the filling process
• Any necessary cleaning before, during, or after production of a batch
• Any necessary packaging for final distribution of product
• Understand all associated regulations and procedures, including USDA policies and allergen compliance
• Adhere to all safety standards
• Adhere to all MTG policies and procedures
• Support MTG and CIG initiatives and goals as assigned

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
• Works in accordance with, and supports, MTG Standard Operating Procedures as outlined in the HACCP, SSOP and Quality manuals
• Reliable, dependable, with a “team player” orientation
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Willingness to speak up and review problems with supervisor in order to determine best course of action, offering suggestions and providing clear communication of the problem
• Demonstrated verbal communication skills to be effective
