Steve Paulus

Home Town: Rootstown, Ohio
College: College of Southern Nevada and Kent State University
Veteran: U.S. Air Force; served in Texas, Germany, and Nevada

Mr. Paulus received his electrical training in the U.S. Air Force in high and low voltage work on utility lines and commercial wiring on military bases, both in the United States and Germany. He specialized in airfield lighting and large commercial buildings. After his military service he worked in several industrial factories before opening his own Electrical Contracting business. He has 41 years of electrical work experience, and ran his own company from 1985 to present. He has trained 4 apprentices and many other workers. Mr. Paulus began teaching in 2012 at Maplewood Career Center in Ravenna, Ohio. He Came to Portage Lakes Career Center in 2015.
Mr. Paulus’ hobby is flying his own airplane. He built his first airplane himself, and flew it for 5 years.
