PLCC
Our Full-time programs are designed to get you the training you need to start a new career in 10 months or less. Day and evening classes are available to assist you in working around a busy schedule. Financial Aid is available through a variety of sources for Full-time programs.
Our Part-time programs require 300 hours or less to complete and primarily meet in the evening (with the exception of our Nail Technician program which offers both day and evening classes).
Portage Lakes Career Center is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE). PLCC is also a member of the University System of Ohio and is governed and approved by the Ohio Department of Education. We have the distinction of being designated as a Center for Training Excellence (CTX).

Portage Lakes Career Center, 4401 Shriver Road, Uniontown, OH 44685, is applying for reaffirmation of accreditation with the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education. Persons wishing to make comments should write to the Executive Director of the Commision , Council On Occupational Education, 7840 Roswell Road, Bldg. 300, Suite 325, Atlanta, GA 30350. Persons making comments must provide their names and mailing address.

We offer both customized and contracted training for specific business and industry needs in our well-equipped facility with the industry-specific tools and machinery you need to make your training hands-on and valuable. Effective January 2024, Portage Lakes Career Center will not require entrance testing as a part of our admissions process. You must have a High School Diploma or GED to move forward in the admissions process.
