An Affordable Licensed Practical Nurse Program

Be ready to take your nursing licensure exam in less than ten months with the licensed practical nurse (LPN) program at Portage Lakes Career Center’s W. Howard Nicol School of Practical Nursing. Located in Uniontown and approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing, our practical nursing program is taught in a modern facility by experienced registered nurses with access to the latest technology. Students also complete clinical experiences at various health-care facilities throughout the Akron-Canton regional area.

At Portage Lakes Career Center, we take the guesswork out of planning and budgeting for an LPN school. With no hidden fees of any kind, you can be confident there will be no surprises in the cost of your education. In addition to instruction, books, uniforms, and graduation supplies, tuition for qualifying students covers the NCLEX-PN (National Council of State Board of Nursing Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses), application for the Ohio Board of Nursing, and NCLEX test prep.
