Phlebotomy Technician

Students in this program will be prepared to enter the workforce as Phlebotomy Technicians.  Students will begin with a foundation in medical terminology and will continue with both a clinical and theory-based curriculum.  As a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT through the National Healthcareer Association), students will be trained to perform a variety of blood collection methods using proper techniques and precautions.  This program involves classroom instruction and a 24 hour clinical experience/externship in a healthcare facility to provide an opportunity for students to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to take professional certification exams.

NOTE: Externship hours may be scheduled during day, afternoon, or evening shifts.  We will do our best to accommodate your schedule.

Admissions Policy Statement

Students looking to enroll in the above-listed program must submit an official high school or GED transcript to be reviewed. Team members will grant student placement only after evaluating the transcript and determining that it meets all criteria for admission.
