Sitting in desks in not the defining atmosphere at Portage Lakes Career Center. Half of your day will be spent in high-tech labs participating in projects that matter. From welding a dirt bike, to running a restaurant, our students run businesses, design, repair, program, and are fully engaged in 21st Century Learning.

In November, Sophomore’s from PLCC’s four partner schools will have several opportunities to explore all that PLCC has to offer. Representatives from PLCC will meet with every 10th grader from the four partner districts to discuss the benefits of Career & Technical Education, followed by Sophomore Visitation Days where the students will visit PLCC and have a focused visit in three programs of their choice.  

Following the visit days, parents are invited to bring their student back for a Career Exploration Open House.  Career Tech Tuesdays are an additional way a student can see first-hand what a program is like by shadowing for half of a day.
