PLCC Awarded State Funding to Launch & Renovate CTE Programs in Dental, Phlebotomy, and Welding

In November of 2023, Portage Lakes Career Center received substantial state funding to introduce and enhance Career Technical Education (CTE) programs in dental assisting, phlebotomy, and welding. With a $6,536,703 award from the state operating budget, complemented by an additional $1,983,454 from the school district, PLCC will begin construct of a cutting-edge 16,280 square foot Dental Assisting program, launch a high school phlebotomy initiative, and update & renovate its welding training lab.
