2022 National Technical Honor Society Induction Ceremony

Portage Lakes Career Center would like to congratulate the 35 seniors who were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society during a special ceremony at PLCC on October 25, 2022.   

NTHS is an educational non-profit that exists to honor, recognize, and empower students and teachers in Career & Technical Education.  Students being inducted have met the following criteria: 

• High Academic Achievement in CTE courses
• Daily Attendance rate of no less than 95%
• Attainment of available program certifications
• Full Recommendation from the program teacher and academic teacher endorsement
• Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to utilize technology, possess strong leadership skills, and have a commitment to the community as it is demonstrated by the Community Service activities to be completed in the Senior year.

During the ceremony, students were officially inducted into the society and received their NTHS certificate of membership.  A special candle-lighting ceremony was held to highlight the important personal Character Traits required of each member.
