Hello, my name is Maureen Paczak. I teach in the new Med Tech program at PLCC. Our goal is to provide our students with a foundation for higher education or certification upon graduation to assist them in reaching their career goals. This year, the junior class will learn Medical Terminology and Pharmacology. Successful completion of these classes is the building block for many opportunities in the medical field.
I attended Youngstown State University, Pennsylvania State University, and the University of Akron to complete my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and School Nurse Licensure. I have been a practicing RN for 38 years and I have taught in two career centers in the Adult Education, Licensed Practical Nurse Programs. For the past several years, I have provided countless educational programs for high school students promoting health, wellness, and drug and alcohol prevention.
My husband and I live in Cortland, Ohio and we have two grown children. We are all avid tennis fans; our children still play almost every day! We also love to cook, entertain, and spend time with our family and friends.
