PLCC On-Line Driver’s Education Course

PLCC will be offering the Ohio driver’s education course at no cost to interested students (ages 15 year and 5 months through 17). The coursework is on-line and facilitated by All Star Driver Education. Students who successfully complete the coursework earn a certificate of completion.

The certificate of completion can be presented to any credentialed Ohio driving school to continue with the driving portion (required driving hours) of the training. The driving portion of the training is not funded by PLCC.

The certificate does not expire. Students are to complete the course within 6 months or less of their initial log-in. Failure to complete the course within that interval of time will result in the student reimbursing PLCC for the cost of the on-line course (approximately $50).

PLCC Driver’s Education Completion Incentive: PLCC Students who participate in the on-line driver’s education course are eligible to receive $100.00 for meeting all of the following requirements:

· Earn the Ohio driver’s License by the end of the school year (proof to be provided to PLCC)
· Maintain a 92% attendance rate for the school year in which the driver’s education course was completed and the license earned.
· Earn a “C” average or better in CTE courses for the school year in which the driver’s education course was completed and the license earned.

The $100.00 incentive will be issued at the end of the school year to those students who qualify.
