COMMON BACK TO SCHOOL QUESTIONS

  1. Q: If my home school has a different start date then PLCC is my student still required to report to PLCC on their first day of school?  A:  YES, on the first day of school, and during the school year, if PLCC is in session and your home school is not, your student is still required to report to PLCC for their program and academic courses that they take at PLCC.
  2. Q: Is transportation to PLCC provided?  A. YES, each partner district provides transportation to and from PLCC.  Your student will catch the bus as normal and will be transported to their home high school. They will switch buses at their home high school and will be transported to PLCC.  If your student is 1/2 Day, a bus will pick them up at PLCC at 10:20 and transport them back to their home high school.  Full Day students will be dismissed from PLCC at 2:07 and transported back to their home high school.
  3.  Q: How is transportation for Manchester students being handled since they do not start school until September 9?  A:  Parents of Manchester students who ride the bus will be responsible for getting their student to MHS by 7:15 AM where a bus will transport the students to PLCC. Half day students will be dismissed at 10:20 and full-day students will be dismissed at 2:07.  Students will be transported back to MHS where the parent will be responsible for pick-up.  (Once MHS school is in session, normal bussing from and to a students residence will resume.)
  4.  Q: How much are my students fees?  A:  Please refer to your back-to-school letter for student fee information that will be mailed the beginning of August or call our main office at 330.896.8200.
  5.  Q: Is my student required to wear their uniform on the first day of school?  A:  During New Student Orientation, program teachers will review their expectations for the first day of school.  Seniors will receive their new uniforms on the first day of school.
  6.  Q: When does Driver’s Education start and how do I sign my student up?  A:  Drivers Education starts in September.  There will be an info session re: Drivers Education during the New Student Orientation to answer additional questions.
  7.  Q: How do I order additional uniform pieces for my student?  A:  Students who change programs or wish to order additional uniform items will be able to do so on September 4.  More information on how to do that to come!
  8. Q: How can I get my own PLCC Spiritwear?  A:  Visit www.shopgameday.net/plcc  or scan the QR code below to shop our Spiritwear Store.
