How To Get Your CTAGs
Students who successfully complete specified technical programs are eligible to have technical credit transfer to public colleges and universities. This transfer of credit is described in Career-Technical Assurance Guides (CTAG). CTAGs are advising tools that assist students moving from Ohio secondary and adult career-technical institutions to Ohio public institutions of higher education.
In order for a student to obtain credit for an approved course through the state of Ohio, the student must meet certain requirements AND the school must have applied for/been approved to offer that CTAG.
The state has relaxed the requirements for CTAGs during the 2019-2020 school year to allow students unable to complete webXams because of Covid-19 closures to STILL APPLY for college credits. Please utilize the guidance below to assist you with filling out ONLY PART 1 of the Verification Forms specific to each of your labs.
Remember, CTAGs only apply to two and four-year public institutions in Ohio and not all of your courses will transfer (the college you have chosen will need to offer a similar course to grant credit).
In years past, our seniors classes have saved thousands of dollars on coursework! PLEASE APPLY!
Follow the 3 simple steps below to complete the necessary verification forms. If you have any additional questions, please contact Lisa Tripney at 330-896-8278 or ltripney@plcc.edu.
Again, please only complete Part 1 of the Verification Forms & send to Mrs. Tripney and she will take care of the rest.
