Turn your creative eye into a powerful way to connect with people. In Design, Communication & Marketing, you’ll explore the art and strategy behind visual storytelling – and how to use it to build, market, and manage a brand’s image. You’ll master the fundamentals of design by combining text, photography, images, and web content to create compelling messages across multiple platforms. From capturing the perfect shot to crafting a campaign that shapes public perception, you’ll gain the creative and strategic skills needed for careers in graphic design, photography, marketing, social media content creation/management, web design, and branding.
Both Digital Media Technologies and Design, Communication & Marketing involve creativity and visual communication, but they focus on different aspects of media creation.
If you’re drawn to storytelling through video, love working with audio and sound, and want to create content like YouTube videos, podcasts, or films, Digital Media Technologies might be your fit. It emphasizes motion graphics, video production, and audio engineering.
On the other hand, if you’re more interested in building brands, creating marketing campaigns, and designing materials that persuade and communicate messages across different platforms, Design, Communication & Marketing could be ideal. This program focuses more on graphic design, photography, and strategic marketing thinking.
Ask yourself: Do you see yourself behind a camera filming and editing, or do you picture yourself designing logos and planning social media campaigns? Your answer can help guide your choice.
