Uniforms
It is important to underscore the significance of adhering to the school-issued uniforms, which are an integral part of our high school dress code. Given the specialized nature of our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, there are professional standards and considerations for health and safety associated with certain types of attire.
At PLCC, we prioritize ensuring that our students are equipped with industry-specific attire necessary for their respective CTE labs. These uniforms are provided FREE of charge, emphasizing our commitment to facilitating optimal learning environments. Students are expected to wear these uniforms Monday – Friday, both within their labs and academic courses, if they are enrolled as full-day students.
Each CTE program lab entails a specific dress code that must be strictly adhered to. Failure to comply with the requisite work clothing, safety equipment, and tools may preclude students from engaging in lab activities, leading to the deduction of daily/weekly participation points. Persistent disregard for CTE lab dress codes will prompt the issuance of behavior documentation reports, followed by interventions as deemed necessary by the principal and/or assistant principal.
Uniform Fittings
In April, our uniform provider will conduct professional fittings for all incoming juniors and current juniors who will progress to seniors the following year. Dates for these fittings will be communicated to students well in advance. We strongly encourage parents of incoming juniors to participate in the fitting session to guarantee proper sizing. Additionally, parents will have the opportunity to purchase any additional uniform pieces during this time.
Uniform Distribution
Uniforms will be distributed to all incoming juniors the evening of New Student Orientation, which is the evening before the 1st Day of school. Returning seniors will receive their uniforms on the first day of school.
