The City of Green is hosting a hiring party on March 6 to allow prospective employees to learn more about positions the City has available this summer. Enjoy games, music, and food from 3 pm to 5:30 pm at Central Park Community Hall, 1795 Steese Rd.

 

The City of Green offers both full and part-time positions with varying work hours and days. The city also offers many positions that can easily accommodate college summer schedules.

 

Available positions include:

 

Site / Sports Field Monitor | $12.15 – $15.15/per hour based on experience
Responsibilities: Part-time Site-monitor includes evening and weekend programming (softball, pickleball, volleyball games). Training provided.
Requirements: Valid State of Ohio driver’s license, qualifying and remaining insurable under the City’s vehicle insurance policy; Possess or obtain first-aid, CPR & AED certifications within 30 days of employment (will train upon hire)

 

Summer Day Camp Staff | $12.15 – $15.15/per hour based on experience
Responsibilities: Support the planning and implementation of ideas for summer camp programs; Lead campers through the daily activities, games, & trips; Identify potential accident hazards; be alert and prevent accidents; Administer first-aid, CPR and AED when needed.
Day Camp Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday through Friday
Requirements: All educational levels will be considered. College coursework in recreation, education, or other related field is beneficial; Valid State of Ohio driver’s license, qualifying and remaining insurable under the City’s vehicle insurance policy; Possess or obtain first-aid, CPR & AED certifications within 30 days of employment (will train upon hire)

 

Splash Pad Attendant | $10.80 – $13.80/per hour based on experience
Responsibilities: Monitoring of the splash pad & enforcement of rules while maintaining neat / clean park vicinity; identify potential accident hazards; be alert & prevent accidents by maintaining safety guidelines; Administer first-aid, CPR, AED when needed.
Requirements: Valid State of Ohio driver’s license, qualifying and remaining insurable under the City’s vehicle insurance policy; Possess or obtain first-aid, CPR & AED certifications within 30 days of employment (will train upon hire)

 

Seasonal Laborer I | $12.85 – $18.00/per hour based on experience
Park, landscape, playground, building, trail maintenance, athletic fields, painting, cleaning, shoveling, and raking, special events and other related duties. Weekend work and varying shifts will be required for the Parks Division.


Seasonal Laborer II | $14.90 – $20.90/per hour based on experience
Hauling material; dirt, stone, asphalt; shoveling, raking; litter, tree & brush removal. Mowing, flagging traffic, operating equipment and other related duties. Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license (Class A or B CDL) and remain insurable.
