DESCRIPTION
CHC is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. CHC has been a critical part of Ohio’s efforts to treat and prevent substance use disorders since 1974.
We are currently looking for a Full Time Cook for our Food Services team for our Residential Facilities. Hours will be 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday along with one weekend per month from 9:00am-5:30pm, with days off during the week. Rotating weekends and holidays.
Duties Include:
Cooking meals
Writing the prep list
Food preparation
Checking in and putting away inventory
Cleaning
Using the company vehicle to deliver meals and pickup from Food Bank
Compliance with all cleaning schedules and assignments
Adherence to all safety policies and procedures
Minimum requirements: One year cooking experience; Have sufficient dexterity to handle food and equipment efficiently and safely; Able to lift up to 30 lbs; Able to work on feet for long periods of time as a great deal of time is spent on foot either continuously walking or standing. ServSafe is preferred, but can be provided after probation period. Must have a valid driver’s license and must pass a background check and drug test.
