CNC Programmer

DESCRIPTION

Ansco Machine Company is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This position is a great opportunity for an experienced programmer or a recent technical school graduate with CNC machining or programming training.

The CNC Programmer will develop, test, and improve CNC programs for milling machines and lathes while supporting accurate, efficient, and high-quality production. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machining, blueprint reading, CAD/CAM software, machine setup, and precision measuring equipment.

### Responsibilities

* Develop, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs for milling machines and lathes.
* Use CAD/CAM software to create and improve machining programs.
* Interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications.
* Assist with CNC machine setups, tooling, fixtures, offsets, and calibration.
* Work with Fanuc controls and other CNC control systems.
* Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
* Verify completed parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
* Troubleshoot issues involving tooling, programming, part geometry, and machine performance.
* Work with engineering, quality, and manufacturing employees to improve machining processes.
* Maintain accurate documentation for programs, setups, tooling, and process improvements.
* Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Perform routine machine adjustments and maintenance as needed.

### Qualifications

* CNC programming, CNC machining, or relevant technical training.
* Experience using CAD/CAM software.
* Understanding of G-code and M-code functions.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
* Familiarity with CNC milling machines, lathes, tooling, fixtures, and machining processes.
* Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
* Math skills, including geometry and trigonometry, as they relate to machining.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

### Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with ESPRIT, Mastercam, or other CAM software.
* Experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
* Experience with Fanuc controls.
* Knowledge of multi-axis machining, including 3-, 4-, or 5-axis equipment.
* Familiarity with electrical discharge machining.
* Experience in aerospace, automotive, medical device, or precision manufacturing.
* Technical school certificate or degree in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, engineering technology, or a related field.
