DESCRIPTION

A Beringer Plating Electroplater successfully performs a multitude of tasks that support the process of taking a corrosion prone object and turning it into a coated object being protected from corrosion. This process is called electroplating, electroplating involves the application of a thin layer of metal solution to an object, using electric current to affix the metal particles to the item’s surface.

 

Core Functions

-Communication

  • Effectively communicating with others who you are relieving as well as with those taking over the line.

-Safely and efficiently operating production line(s)

  • Follow instruction on Process Instructions
  • Taking into account: customer scheduled pick up, individual skill levels, Due Dates, complexity of jobs

-Complete all steps in production process

  • Routinely review analytical sheet
  • Record all jobs with quality checks on production log
  • Transport jobs to next process (bake, chromate line, final inspection)
    • Electroplater is responsible for job until it properly transferred to the next “manned” process area.

-Housekeeping of the assigned production line

-Ensuring Customer Requirements on Process Order is met
-Identifying Maintenance needs
-Perform all tasks assigned by management.
-Perform all tasks safely, assist others to perform tasks safely.
