Inventory Control Specialist

DESCRIPTION

The Summit County Engineer Office is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist. Duties include sourcing, ordering, receiving and maintaining an inventory of parts, materials, and supplies in support of a full-service garage and road maintenance department. Incumbent secures quotes, creates requisitions, and reviews purchase orders. Responsible for maintaining records of inventory, organizing and maintaining the stockroom, and following policy to assure efficiency of operation. An employee in this classification is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and manual tasks in the garage storeroom and in a modern office environment. Issues supplies and material. Assists in taking yearly inventory. Marks, and tags items. Maintains stockroom area in a neat and safe condition. Performs related work as required. Works under general supervision with some opportunity for the use of independent judgment. Experience in computerized purchasing and inventory software systems required. Experience with automotive/heavy truck/equipment parts desired. Wage: $25.50 – $27.65
