Maintenance Staff

CommQuest seeks a Maintenance Staff member at our CommQuest Facilities in Canton, Ohio.
Maintenance performs general maintenance, construction activities, and basic repairs by assignment. Also conducts routine inspections of premises and equipment at all CommQuest Services locations.

CommQuest Services is one of the largest non-profit mental health, addiction recovery, and social services organizations in Northeast Ohio, working with clients from more than 34 counties in 12 facilities through more than 20 programs. We help people make positive changes in their lives through in-patient, outpatient and school-based programs, along with supportive services – from basic needs to employment assistance.

What you’ll do:
Performs general maintenance, basic repairs, and construction duties
Performs a wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance activities (painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames
Assures that maintenance, construction projects, and repairs are kept current at CommQuest Services locations, as assigned by supervisor
Conducts routine inspections of premises and equipment at all CommQuest Services locations
Moves furniture and/or equipment as requested
Year-round grounds keeping and landscaping (snow removal, mowing, etc.)
All other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Day-shift and afternoon-shifts available. Must have availability to work in the evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
Minimum of one-year experience in maintenance services, preferred
Flexible work schedule
Ability to lift, bend, stand, and sit for extended periods of time, as required to complete cleaning and maintenance services, occasional heavy lifting involved
Possesses a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a driving record that is compliant with agency insurance requirements

Resident Technician – Deliverance House (Women’s facility)
CommQuest seeks a Day shift Full Time and Afternoons Part Time (30+ hours) Residential Technician(s) to work at Deliverance, our adult women’s Residential Facility in Canton, Ohio. You will ensure the comfort, safety, and security of all clients and visitors.
What you’ll do:
Provide day-to-day assistance with and supervision of clients in these programs
Work in partnership with the Site Coordinator and/or Lead Resident Technician (RT), clinical staff, and other residential staff
Plan and assist with recreational and educational activities
Redirect clients, as necessary
All other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Shift available:
Days (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and some Weekends (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM). Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Afternoons (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and some Weekends (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a good driving record
Confidence and capability to proactively meet new people who share the CommQuest mission and create connections
Must be willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and BCI/FBI background check
Individuals in recovery, must have a minimum of one year of sobriety and practice firm boundaries with clients

Resident Technician – Wilson Hall (Men’s facility)
CommQuest seeks an Afternoons & Weekends, Full Time or Part Time Residential Technician(s) to work at our various sites on the Massillon Recovery Campus – Wilson Hall. You will play a crucial role in the life of our clients who are recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
What you’ll do:
Provide day-to-day assistance with and supervision of clients in these programs
Work in partnership with the Site Coordinator and/or Lead Resident Technician (RT), clinical staff, and other residential staff
Plan and assist with recreational and educational activities
Redirect clients, as necessary
All other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Shift available Afternoons/Weekends – Saturday-Thursday (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) Must be available to work holidays if needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a good driving record
Confidence and capability to proactively meet new people who share the CommQuest mission and create connections
Must be willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and BCI/FBI background check
