Location: Kent, Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $20 per hour

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, self-driven Material Handler to join our team. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position that requires attention to detail, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
Accurately read and use tape measures and perform basic math
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
Handle and move heavy steel materials (up to 75 lbs)
Stand for extended periods; frequent bending and lifting required
Support team members and adapt to workload as needed
Qualifications:
Prior industrial or warehouse experience required
Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes
Ability to read tape measures and perform accurate measurements
Strong math skills and attention to detail
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, bend, and stand throughout shift
Reliable, punctual, and ready to work daily
Must live within commuting distance to West Chester, Ohio
Preferred:
Previous work in a steel service center or similar environment
Familiarity with handling steel products
Understanding of warehouse safety protocols, especially for heavy materials
Experience using inventory management systems
