DESCRIPTION
Job Description
Read and interpret miscellaneous fabrication drawings.
Gather and cut raw materials for fabrication.
Layout and fabricate stairs, rails, ladders, and custom fabrication items per fabrication drawings.
Weld, grind, and clean stairs, rails, ladders, and custom fabrication items (secondary task).
Track and communicate status of ongoing fabrication.
Operate forklift to transfer raw and fabricated materials.
Operate drills, iron worker, band saw, and chop saw to cut and process raw materials for fabrication.
Utilize squares, levels, and tape measure to layout and fabricate items.
Job Requirements
Proficiency in use of power tools such as welders, grinders, drills, iron worker, band saw, and chop saw is preferred but not required.
Ability to read tape measure and mark dimensions accurately.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractional dimensions (use of calculator is permitted).
Prior certification (welding/forklift) is preferred but not required.
Experience in fabrication of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is preferred but not required.
Attention to detail.
Organizational skills.
High school diploma or GED.

Physical capacity to lift greater than 50 pounds.
