DESCRIPTION

RECEIVER

As a part-time receiver you will be responsible for taking items off our trucks and storing them in our facility. This employee will be trained in inventory and order accuracy, handling packing slips, and lean distribution in a warehouse environment, which are skills highly valued in the industry. We provide forklift training to our employees no matter the experience level; however, any previous experience working in this type of environment or using a forklift will be beneficial in this role.

 

OVERVIEW

Working as Part-Time Receiving, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center. When inventory arrives at the
HUB location, you will verify the product and quantity delivered. Then you will prepare the product to move to the next department, product handling.
This is an entry level position based out of our distribution center located at 940 W. Wilbeth Rd., Akron, OH 44314. 

 

Part-Time Shift(s):
MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, 2:00 am-7:00 am   starting pay  $18.00
MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, 3:15 pm-7:15 pm   starting pay  $17.50
20 – 25 hours/week

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Unloading product
  • Inspecting product for quality and accuracy
  • Using a scale for weighing product
  • Complying with safety regulations

REQUIREMENTS

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
  • Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
  • Successfully pass a post offer pre-employment drug screen, background check, and previous employment verification, required by a customer/contract serviced by this location

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFCATIONS:

• Prior experience operating a forklift
