Repair Welder

Full-Time

DESCRIPTIONDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate and complete crane inspection sheets as needed.

Use hand grinders, welders and other powered hand tools.

Read and interpret prints and drawings for the job to be done, and/or interpret tube description for reinforcement welds.

Assist crane operator with moving repaired tubes up and down the work area.

Hooking and unhooking tubes after moving them to next station or to a bolster.

Clean area at end of shift.

Daily job duties are subject to change at any time based on department needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTITUDES:
High School diploma/GED equivalent

Valid driver’s license

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience with 1G Stick welding.

Ability to pass a 1G weld test.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Ability to occasionally pull, push, carry, or lift tools, equipment, or materials 50 lbs. or less.

Ability to withstand occasional bending, squatting, or crouching.

Ability to frequently handle (hold, seize, grasp, turn, etc.) tools, equipment, or material.

Ability to work in inclement weather conditions, including cold, heat, and humidity.

Adhere to all Safety Policies and Procedures, including, but not limited to proper PPE, and Daily Equipment Inspections.
